Day 9 30 in 30 Daily Painting

Today was an emotional roller coaster, so it was hard to concentrate on painting.  We have started into another school year. My 3rd grader is settled in and excited about everyday. My high schooler has decided to do another year of home school and is getting back in routine.  My middle daughter with Aspergers is in 6 th and does not want to go at all.  We are trying a longer schedule of 2:30 instead of 11:30 and trying to encourage riding the special Ed bus. The longer schedule is quite challenging and we are still not sure it will hold. We are at least trying to get through the week. The bus thing was a disaster that led to much crying and frustration. There was a little delay in time since it is a new schedule and the other child on the bus is moving and talking the whole time and she was disturbed by the other child joyfully repeating her name the whole trip  incorrectly. So this is the opposite of a personality that she can tolerate, especially at the end of a stressful day. By the time she got off the bus I was informed it was the worse experience of her life among other things. So I let it pass and everything to calm down, I am finally learning. Later in the evening when everyone was less emotional I made a phone call and found out the bus driver can fit it in her schedule to bring Olivia home alone before picking up the other child. So tomorrow we will start again, make a few more phone calls and hope for a better outcome.
In between I painted.
Watercolor on vintage sheet music. $25.00 leave a comment with email if interested in purchasing.

I like how you paint on sheet music. And the peacock feathe is a calming subject. I am sorry you are having a rough start to the school year. I know how it can be. Hopefully, the change with the bus ride home will make things smoother.
